Sought after for her coloratura timbre and diverse range as an actress, Mykayla Fitzpatrick has often been described as a “stage animal.” She received her Bachelor of Music Performance from Colorado State University, is currently pursuing her Masters degree at New England Conservatory, and is located in Boston. Her recent operatic roles include Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Laurie Moss in Copland’s The Tender Land, Despina in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, and Laetitia in Menotti’s The Old Maid and the Thief. An avid crossover singer, she has recently sung Patience in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience, Phyllis in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe, and Kim McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie. She has been awarded “Jackie Writz” and “Tom and Mary Conroy” Awards in the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition, as well as the “Irene Binkley Vocal Music Scholarship” for Outstanding Vocal Arts Majors at Colorado State. She was elected as the Vocal Performance Degree Representative for the National Associations of Schools of Music in 2022. She has sung for regional companies including Loveland Opera Theater, Boulder Opera Company, Opera Fort Collins, and Arizona Lyric Theatre, as well as has been a featured soloist for Laudamus Chamber Chorale.
